Very Good+: shows very light wear to the extremities; former owner's name marked over with blk marker pen at the upper corner of the front free endpaper; the binding leans very slightly but remains perfectly secure; the text is clean. Free of creased or dog-eared pages in the text. Free of any underlining, hi-lighting or marginalia or marks in the text. A handsome, close-to-new copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing the mildest wear and unobtrusive flaws. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 4to. (10.75 x 8.5 x 0.3 inches). Illustrated by Rodney McRae. Language: English. Weight: 11.5 ounces. Hardback without DJ: Pictorial Laminate Boards. This is a fun tale where the traditional tale of the fair princess being rescued from a dragon by a gallant knight becomes subverted. This is a great book for studying gender roles with children. The theme of this book is a very timely one as well, namely that everyone has their talents - they just have to find a way to use them constructively. The warts-and-all type illustrations are large and fun as well. Overall a wonderful piece of literature.
