  • Used
New York, 1885. Very good overall. A striking chromolithograph advertising trade card illustrated with the bustling Brooklyn Bridge, flanked by an out of scale depiction of the Royal Baking Powder plant on Duane Street, all depicted above a East River jammed with sailing ships. The bridge itself is shown with masses of carriages, and 3 railway cars; below the bridge more elevated railway lines carry trains, and the river, flanked by hundreds of tall masted ships at dock. The printed title reads, "The Great Suspension Bridge between New York and Brooklyn, New York. Elevated Rail Road etc". Text printed on verso provides the dimensions of the bridge, below which is advertising text and a table with comparative worth of various competing brands of baking powder. 4 x 6 1/2"
