Inscribed by the author and editor EPHRAIM DEKEL in Hebrew on the title page, original wrapper slightly browned and with some marginal repairs, first and last pages with light foxing, few pages with remnant rust signs of old paper clips, otherwise a very good and clean text in English, Hebrew and Yiddish. RARE IMPORTANT PICTORIAL DOCUMENT of the immediate post- ww2 period of the Jewish survivors of the Holocaust on their way out of Germany. SPECIAL SECTION on the fate of the passengers of the EXODUS. A history of the actions of the Highland Light Infantry of Canada near the village of Buron during the month following the D-Day landings. They faced the 12th SS (Hitler Youth) exchanging artillery barrages and fighting patrols. On the 8th July, 1944 the regiment executed a plan to capture the village which is described in this book.
