Full Title: 'The Builder's Practical Director or Buildings for all Classes; containing Plans, Sections and Elevations for the erection of Cottages, Villas, Farm Buildings, Dispensaries, Public Schools &c. with Detailed Estimates, Quantities, Prices &c. Illustrated by Numerous Plates and Diagrams' Aslo bound in is 'The Builder's Practical Director Supplimentary Series' Half leather with decorated spine and green boards. Light wear to spine ends, corners and board edges, some marks on covers. Sound binding and marbled end-papers. Probably rebound in the 19th century. Colour frontis and decorated title page, both of which, along with the introduction, have significant foxing. Foxing varies, some plates are heavily foxed, some show almost no signs of foxing. The colour plates are less heavily foxed than the black and white plates. Volume contains 132 hand coloured and black and white plates plus a further 45 plates in the Suppliment. The volume is undated but the Suppliment, which post-dates the main text, makes reference to the newly passed Metropolitan Building Act of 1855. IV, 264, 104, [2]. No dust jacket, as published.
