About This Item
London: Michael Joseph, 1937. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. First UK Edition. Publisher's mid-blue cloth with yellow lettering to the spine. Spine slightly darkened and minor foxing to fore-edge and the early/late pages of the book overall though a bright and attractive near fine copy. In the RARE D/W priced 7/6 net to the inside flap (as called). Superb Bip Pares D/W illustration. Slight darkening to the head and tail of the spine and a short closed tear (and accompanying crease) to the bottom left hand corner of the rear panel still a lovely VG++ D/W. Exceedingly uncommon. This copy would grace any collection of pre-war detective fiction. Rare. Scans invited.
