The town of Havant began as a Roman settlement, where two ancient trackways crossed with a source of pure water through numerous springs in the adjacent area. The area has almost certainly been inhabited continuously from that time. This book celebrates a bustling, industrious and industrial town with photographs from the late 19th century up to the middle parts of the 20th century.
