About This Item
London: Constable & Co. Ltd, 1932. 1st Edition. Red Cloth. Very Good/Very Good Minus. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" Large. No Illustrations. 296pp. A very scarce copy of this first UK edition in wrapper. ( 1932). Bound in bright red cloth. The cloth at the tail of the spine is slightly turned in. Light foxing to the fore edges. The top corner of 14 leaves towards the centre of the textblock have been lightly creased. The book is clean and tight. Dust wrapper is not price clipped and remains colourful and bright. There is a 'reduced to 1' - ' sticker to the tail of the spine of the wrapper. A few short tears to the head and tail of the spine of the wrapper and to two to the top rear corner of the wrapper - now all expertly repaired. Some light rubbing to the periphery of the wrapper and the rear of the wrapper is a little loose fitting with a little vertical creasing to the rear flap. Despite these faults, the book remains in very good condition.
