In the gilt detailed original cloth binding. All volumes are in a full cloth binding with gilt stamping to the spine and to the boards. The white cloth to the spines remains extremely bright. With a bookplate to the front pastedown of all volumes of a Greek style folly on a hill with a young girl kneeling in the foreground. The name 'AEEYNT' is to the top of the bookplate. With a frontispiece to all volumes. This vast anthology has poems and prose from the likes of Lord Lytton, Edwin Arnold, Hugh Miler, Lord Macaulay, Percy Bysshe Shelley, Edward Earl Clarendon, Charlotte Bronte, Charles Lamb, Samuel Johnson, Laurence Oliphant, Milton, Horace Smith, Montaigne, J G Lockhart and Sir Philip Sydney. Collated, complete. Scarce to find all twelve volumes together, particularly in this decorative cloth binding. Condition: In full cloth bindings, with gilt detailing to the spine and boards. Externally, very smart with just some minor bumping to the head and tail of spines. The occasional light marks to boards. Bookplate to the front pastedown of all volumes, 'AEEYNT'. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with just the odd spots, heavier to the first and last few pages. Overall Condition: Very Good Indeed.
