Typed manuscript of [iii], 57 sur blanc leaves. green cloth covered boards, gilt particulars to cover and spine. Includes typed bound-in letter signed by author to Guillermo Tamayo dated June 1967. Manuscript (circa 1967) chronicles the Naval Battle of Lake Maracaibo (Venezuela) that took place July 24,1823, last battle of the Venezuelan War of Independence. This manuscript was commissioned by Rear Admiral Daniel José Gámez Calcaño and Rear Admiral Pablo Cohen Guerrero as tribute from the "Instituto National de Canalizaciones" to the Naval Academy on the inauguration of their new building.
