A seemingly good copy marked "damaged" - rubber-stamped on titlepage, but our several handlings of book and dust jacket have turned up only a small marginal smudge on p.193 and scratches at the tail of the dj. And, of course the darn rubberstamp is a form of damage; it likely was used to describe an item new from the publisher. Oxford Historical Monographs.
