Paris: Dumont,, 1839. 2 volumes, octavo. Original yellow printed wrappers printed in black, discreetly rebacked preserving original spine. Housed in a custom marbled slipcase. Wrappers expertly restored, contents clean and bright. An excellent copy. First edition of Dumas's anti-slavery novel, one of his earliest works, and rare in the original wrappers.
