Original blue cloth covered boards (faded), gold blocked title and author's name on front and spine (faded), map endpapers. Contents pages are overall clean, ""previous owners"" name and address (3 lines - neat) top of Foreword page, medium staining & discolouring on content page edges, few foxing ""spots"" mainly in margins. This is a very acceptable reading copy of the true FIRST EDITION. Near VG.
