New York: Special Subscription Edition Made by J. J. Little & Ives Co, 1909. First Edition. Hardcover. Very good. Octavo. 448 pages. Frontispiece photograph of Capt. Bill McDonald. Illustrations. Blue cloth hardcover with white title on the front cover and spine. Fading to the white letters in the title on the front cover and spine. Binding and interior contents in very good condition.
Ref. Howes P 14 ("first bdg. gilt stamped") Adams Six Guns 1669 - "A biography of one of the better-known Texas Rangers, this volume deals with many Texas and Oklahoma outlaws. Published by subscription, it was issued in three different bindings simultaneously, each to fit the subscriber's pocketbook. The most expensive was bound in full morocco, the next in red cloth with a portrait of McDonald pasted on, and the third and cheapest, the one most commonly seen, in blue cloth.
