An early edition of author's detailed account of the the late 19th century Dreyfus Affair in France, in which an innocent man was accused of treason. The affair lasted about 12 years, raised French passions and involved layer upon layer of espionage and counter-espionage. --- In brown textured paper-covered boards backed in reddish-brown cloth. Jacket with drawings of some of the affair's principal characters on cover. --- With improperly cut edges to a few pages, else a clean, firm, bright copy lacking markings. Dust jacket bears original $3.50 flap price, with a little darkening to spine, otherwise in good shape and in removable mylar protector.; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 275 pages .
