Original condition with blue wrappers, titles to front, and containing all the ads. This is a complete issue, seldom found in such good and original condition. At the time of his journeys in the White Nile region in 1904, Captain Liddell was the Director of Posts and Telegraphs in the Anglo-Egyptian Sudan. This is a first-hand and succinct account of his travel from Taufikia to Twi district, east of the Bahr-el-Jebel, containing description of his travel route with brief remarks on flooded villages, Jual village inhabited by Dinkas and Nuers, villages of Lual and Jual under a female Sheikh, the sheikh of Khandak who was in the old army at the fall of Khartum, and the Nuers raiding Dinkas. A fascinating account illustrated with photographic illustrations of Dinka tribe and a detailed fold-out sketch route map. . First Edition.
