Tall octavo: [96] p. with numerous textual photographs and illustrations. Original tan cloth binding, with black titles. The dust jacket is price-clipped, with some very mild edgewear; else very good or better.

NY: Darien, 1977. First printing. 130 pp., many photos, small quarto size. Very Good text: tight and unmarked with no owner's name, just lightly bumped/worn at tips, some musty odor but it will lessen with time and proper storage in a dry environment. Dj is very fresh, not clipped, minor edge-wear and one repaired, closed 2" tear to the base of the spine. INSCRIBED "To Raymond T____-S___ with thanks and best wishes, Ricky Jay". The inscribee (now deceased) was a prominent bibliographer and collector of magic and circus material who assisted Mr. Jay with accessing research for his books. Also included is a lengthy (1.5 pages) hand-written letter on the author's letterhead thanking the inscribee and detailing his research efforts in England, etc. A unique item. NOTE: Dust jacket has removable archive mylar sleeve. This gives a dull appearance to the dust jacket in photos.. Signed by Author. 1st. Hardcover. Very Good/Dust Jacket Included.
