LONDON: Printed by the assignes of John More, and sold by Matthew Walbancke and William Coke, 1641 A good copy of this scarce work, as issued in leaflet form with the title page and reverse of the final page darkened, having acted as a binding. Published after Bacon's death, this work is of particular interest because of Bacon's involvement in the treason charge against his former patron, the Earl of Essex. He was a member of the legal team lead by the Attorney General, Lord Coke and drafted the initial account of the trial. The title page and reverse of the back page are darkened but the internal text is in good to very good condition with some light toning to edges and a small mark at the page affecting about 4 leaves. Measuring 18.4 x 13.8 cms.
