This work is a comprehensive catalogue of the art and pieces found at the Museum of Freemasonry, which is based at Freemasons' Hall in London. Volume I illustrated with a colour frontispiece, thirteen colour plates, and twenty-five monochrome plates. Volume II with a colour frontispiece, one colour plate, and fifty monochrome plates. Volume III with a colour frontispiece, two colour plates, and forty monochrome plates. The Museum of Freemasonry was opened in 1841 after a campaign of donations from members, and wa sopen to the English Freemasons of the Grand Lodge. The museum contains artefacts belonging to prominent Freemasons such as King George IV, King Edward VII, Oscar Wilde, Winston Churchill, and Rudyard Kipling. Compiled and arranged by Major Sir Algernon Tudor-Craig. Tudor-Craig was an officer of the British Army, and the author of many works on art history, particularly on armorial porcelain. Collated, complete. Condition: In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spines and to the extremities. Some minor marks to the boards and spines. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Overall Condition: Very Good Indeed.
