Signed Bookplate; Octavo (21cm.); blue cloth spine over green paper covered boards; red topstain; dustjacket by Lawrence Hoffman; 248pp.; light foxing to textblock; a few light spots on lower edge; light rubbing from jacket; former owner's name inside front cover; lightly pulled, holding firm; Very Good+. Dustjacket is unclipped (priced $4.50); light wear/soiling to front panel; a few short closed tears along edges; sunning to spine; Very Good.

This is the author's first novel, later he was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for his eighth novel, A Lesson Before Dying.
