Cemeteries of McIntosh County Georgia

by Lower Altamaha Historical Society Book Committee

Condition: Fine/None Issued

Brunswick, GA: Reagin Publishing Company, 2000. F/0/1st. Ed. /Signed. It has been more than forty years since the last compilation of the cemetery records of McIntosh County was issued. The Cemetery Records of McIntosh County, Georgia, compiled in 1958 by Mrs. Evie White, unfortunately has proved to be only of marginal use as a reference for genealogists and other researches, as it does not include all of the white cemeteries of the county, nor does it include any of the African-American cemeteries. With the completion of the present study, compiled and published under the auspices of the Lower Altamaha Historical Society, McIntosh County now has its most comprehensive collection of cemetery records to date. The present effort includes all McIntosh County cemeteries, black and white, with recorded burials dating from colonial times to the present. Book Condition is Fine; green buckram over boards with gold lettering to front and spine. 393pp. First Edition. Public, church and family cemeteries. Map, cemetery lay-out illustrations. List of Deaths in McIntosh County, Georgia, 1801-1936- Burial Place Unknown, bibliography and sources, alphabetical index. Clean, unmarked, with a tight binding. No wear to cover, no soiling, and sharp corners. Signed by Editor and committe members, and also by Buddy Sullivan, who wrote the preface. Excellent, pristine copy.. Signed by Author of Preface and Editors. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fine/None Issued. Georgia/McIntosh Co./Cemeterie.
