Gill and Macmillan, Dublin, 1969. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. First Edition (first printing) of the author's first regularly published collection (which was preceded by two pamphlets). Slim 8vo. 56pp. Blue cloth lettered in silver at the spine. Some fairly light spotting to the endpapers and to several concluding leaves, and also to occasional text leaves. A very crisp copy in price-clipped dust wrapper, a little rubbed, marked and chafed, and exhibiting some light internal spotting. A brief dedicatory verse precedes thirty-seven poems. The Cresset Press, London, 1946. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. First Edition (first printing). Small 8vo. 45pp. Cream cloth lettered in gold at the spine and upper board. Just a touch of very light spotting to the top edge and endpapers. Very good indeed in slightly dust soiled and spotted non-price-clipped dust wrapper. Thirty-five poems; the author's first collection of verse, published when she was just 23 years old. The author's father was a Russian Hassidic Jew named Paul Levertoff, but after the publication of this first book the author changed the spelling to Levertov, allegedly because 'v' looked more symmetrical than 'ff'..

Description:
Fantasy Press, Oxford, 1954. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. First Edition, second issue (incorporating a single minor textual correction to the poem 'Tamer and Hawk' a 't' added to the end of 'though' in the first line). Slim 8vo. 44pp. Yellow cloth lettered and ruled in red at the upper board. Cloth a little marked and handled. Endpapers really quite browned, yet otherwise extremely fresh internally. Twenty-five poems, the author's first substantial book (and the first hardcover publication issued by the Fantasy Press). The first and second states comprised only 305 copies in total and can be differentiated only by the textual correction (the publisher Oscar Mellor believed the two states could be identified by the slightly different shade of yellow cloth they were bound in, but Gunn's bibliographer Jack Hagstrom has suggested that this is probably not the case). No dust wrapper, as issued..

New York, Grove Press, 2022, trade paperback, 272 pp, Advance Uncorrected Proof (ARC), New. Straight, tight and clean with no wear or markings in bright, pictorial card covers, no dustjacket as issued. The pieces in this collection, written between 1956 and 1961 and including short fiction, a radio play, and a stunning early novel, offer startling insights into Cohens imagination and creative process. Trumansburg, NY: Out of Step Press. Fine with no dust jacket. 2016. Numbered Edition; First Printing. Pamphlet. The author's non-linear poem about the billeting of soldiers in civilian homes in wartime. Copy 89 of a limited edition of 250. Folded into the form of a letter, the work was letterpress printed in wraps of handmade "combat paper" made from military uniforms. The author says: "Some time ago-maybe a year, maybe two? I had a conversation with some of my Combat Paper brothers (well, the kids call them their combat paper uncles, so it follows
) that led to me writing the poem "Quartering." Which was informed by them, of course, and by all the rooms I'm in, and by imagining what is really required of all the caregivers I love. It's a thought experiment: if we tore down the barracks at military hospitals and offered incentives for Americans in the surrounding neighborhoods to quarter injured service members, what would the honest instructions…
