With minimal tanning throughout. Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Light wear to unclipped dust jacket with tears, nicks and creases to spine, edge and corners. Light tanning to spine and edges.

Good book that has significant edge and corner wear with rubbing and color loss, light bumps to corners with some board showing through at bottom corners, soft at spine ends, light soiling and some foxing to page edges, sunning to spine and with some soiling and light spotting to boards, previous owner signature front end page; in a Fair to Good dust jacket with soiling and some yellowing to white portions, sun fade to spine, significant edge wear with chips, tears, and color loss – largest tear is at front spine fold and is about 3 and ½ inches. Price of $4.95 present at bottom of front flap. Filmed in 1966 as Lost Command with Anthony Quinn, George Segal, and Claudia Cardinale. The fictionalized account follows a French Airborne Battalion fighting insurgents in Indochina and Algeria. Praised by many U.S. generals - including David Petraeus and Stanley McChrystal – and highly sought during counterinsurgency operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. A difficult book to find.
