Binding is solid, although hinges show what might be wear or might just be the binding method. Honestly, hard to tell, but book feels good. Jacket is nice with some shelfwear, but does have some rubbing/wear/small tears at edges. Currently protected (and looks great) in an archival quality clear Brodart cover.
