Patrick Durantou, writer-philosopher publishes regularly, has won numerous awards, and is a member of the Club of Rome and many other learned societies. 'Le chants du lointain' (The Distant Songs) is his sixth published collection. Patrick Durantou received his BA from the University of Toulouse-Le-Mirail in 1979 and went on to work both as a professor of classic-guitar and as a journalist. He went on to work as a radio producer for ten years in the 1980s and 1990s. It was at this time in his life when he began presenting his poetry in public. He earned his PhD from Toulouse University and since then has worked as a writer and academic. He began teaching philosophy in 1988 and has become the director of the Department of Philosophy of Ansted University. 'Le chants du lointain'.
