1st Edition, later printing. This copy has 4 line colophon, green endpapers. Boards are fine, white with embossed title and red spine with gilt lettering. Owner dedication on ffep in neat handwriting: "To Herbie, Christmas 1971"with 3 names all in same handwriting. Front cover is boldly signed, "Love from Roald Dahl". The book is in near fine condition. The binding is tight and the boards are crisp. The pages are clean except for the owner inscription. The dust jacket is very clean with minor edge wear. This edition includes the original artwork of the Oompa Loompas.

Synopsis

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (1964) is a children's book by Norwegian-British author Roald Dahl. This story is an adventures of young Charlie Bucket inside the chocolate factory of eccentric candymaker Willy Wonka. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was first published in the United States by Alfred A. Knopf, Inc. in 1967, and in the United Kingdom by George Allen & Unwin in 1967.
