March 20, 1770 a second charter was granted in the name of King George the Third by William Franklin, Governor of the Province of New Jersey. A copy of this second or oldest charter printed in the year when granted, is here reproduced in facsimile. Edward L. Stevenson, Rutgers College, March 20, 1907. Flexible red leather with chipped edges. Front cover detached. Text tight, clean without foxing & intact. Marbled endpapers. Prior owners book plate.
