Half leather bindings with marbled boards, spines have red leather title labels and gilt ruled compartments, speckled page edges. Light rubbing to edges of leather and a few rubbed marks to spines. Good solid bindings with no cracking to joints. A few spots and some patched of very light foxing to text, but overall in very clean condition throughout. Complete with all four plates (Les Grottes de Lindenthal et le Chateau de Thorberg; Chateau de Vuflans [Vufflens]; Chateau de Blonai [Blonay]; Chateau de Hallwyl]. French language. The author is best known for her 18th century bestseller, Caroline de Lichtfield. A complete and attractively bound early edition, scarce thus. Overall condition is Very Good.
