The work of William Caxton, first publisher of books in English, is also detailed along with authors other than Chaucer. With numerous black & white illustrations depicting early printed items and facsimiles of pages and artwork. With appended reference material, bibliography and index. --- In full blue cloth-covered boards with cover and spine titling in black. Dust jacket with reproduction of frontis illustration from the first of Caxton's published books (repeated on title page). --- A very nice copy, clean, bright and unmarked. Unclipped jacket with a little soiling and discoloration but intact and in removable archival mylar protector.; Tall Octavo (9 to 10 in. tall); xi, 165 pages .
