The exchange had been prompted by French connoisseur M. Th. Rousseau who complained that he could not get Stilton cheese while traveling in England, having bee told it was "out of season". Humorous, detailed drawings.

Illustrated throughout in black and white. Some darkening to upper and fore edges of boards. Age darkening to pages and to outer page edges, with soiling to head of pages. Small ink mark to lower edge of front board. In darkened, clipped, dustjacket showing wear to outer corners and to head and heel of spine panel, with dustsoil over all. Crease to spine panel and a tear to upper right front panel with adjacent creasing.
