The quintessential British children's tale of a magical flying car, made into a beloved movie starring Dick Van Dyke in 1968. This is a First Edition, but later printing of the first American edition, with no postscript on the dedication page or printing statement on cr page. Alas, it is also an ex-lib copy, with the usual stamps to front & back matter, residue from where DJ was glued to inside boards in front & rear, & blacked out library name on outside top & bottom page edges. Condition is downgraded to only Good due to these flaws & to the fact that 1 signature (group of pages) between pages 27-50 has come loose of its stitching. Still all there, but detached. NO writing or underlining or highlighting; pages very mildly tanned. This copy has the brown library binding with call letters imprinted on spine in black. The top-corner of the front flap is price-clipped, though the original $3.95 price sticker remains. DJ condition is Near Fine, as it was protected in library mylar cover. This has been carefully removed & replaced with new archival mylar. Very shallow wrinkling is only flaw; virtually no edgewear! Please see our photos!
