Dedication copy inscribed to Paul Hillestad on front free endpaper, "Dear Paul, Accept this little gift, with its dedication, as another interest payment on the great debt I owe you, Feike Feikema, 3-10-48, ps. Pardon the "cast's penmanship". (referring to his shaky lettering, Manfred must have been in a cast at the time). Hillestad was Manfred's editor at Webb. Mulder and Timmerman A4.
