The Chronicle of Clemendy, Arthur Machen. Martin Secker Ltd., London, 1927. Volume 28 in the New Adelphi Library. Second state. 12mo up to 7½" tall., 307pp. + 4pp publisher's advertisement. Green cloth boards with gilt spine titles and gilt illustration to front board. Volume is in near fine condition; binding is tight and square; gilt remains bright. Owner's name, place (Delhi) and date of 1943 in tiny inked script to free-endpaper with no other marks, tears or folds. Light to moderate toning to text block. Dust-jacket has age toning and chipping to tail and head of spine and top edge. The Chronicle of Clemendy is a collection of short tales set in 17th century Wales. *Three additional matching Arthur Machen titles available from Back Lane Books.
