Chronicle of THe Conquest of Granada by Washington Irving - 1869

New York: G. P. Putnam & Sons, 1869. Leather Bound. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. This book is clean, tight, square with pretty good corners and unmarked. It is from what was apparently a deluxe edition of Irving's works with red marbled page edges and end papers in a three-quarter binding with tan leather on the corners and spine. The spine has 5 raised bands and gilt tooled panels with gilt titles in a brown and a black box. the boards are red marbled paper. It is mildly rubbed mainly at the edges and has 644, bright, minimally toned pages illustrated with tissue guarded, black & white plates before the title page. There is a book plate on a front flyleaf.
