Richmond, VA: Wyatt M. Elliott, 1861. Original Sewn Wrappers. Very Good binding. Octavo. 64 pp. First Edition. Bound as issued in stitched wrappers; light soiling to the wrappers; limited shelfwear; minimal foxing; a remarkably nice copy of an uncommon pamphlet, presenting, as Nevins writes, “fervent pleas that the Old Dominion cast her lot with her Southern sisters” (p. 245) in seceding from the Union. Not unexpected that a number of the arguments center around slavery. Uncommon. Nevins II, p. 245; Sabin 1395.
