Signed by Author(s). 1st Printing FIRST PRINTING of First Edition SIGNED on the title page by Steve Roper, Allen Steck, Royal Robbins, Glen Denny, Tom Frost, Jerry Gallwas, & Ed Cooper-- all pioneering Yosemite climbers. All except Steck & Gallwas took photos that illustrate this guidebook (5 by Denny including the dust jacket photo, 6 by Frost, 6 by Robbins, 1 by Roper, 3 by Cooper). Gallwas made the first ascent of the northwest face of Half Dome with Robbins & Sherrick, the first Grade 6 climb in the USA. Robbins' signature is the one above Frost's signature, being the simplified "RR" that he used in his last years. Original red cloth, black lettering front & spine, black decoration front & spine. The scarce original dust jacket is in better than average shape for this book (two tiny 3mm tears front, minor rubbing spine ends with very tiny loss at top, complete with original price on front flap). The book is in sharp, clean condition with no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, clean covers, no rubbing, tight binding, no foxing. The book measures 19cm tall x 12.5cm and has 190 + [2] pages, 39 b/w photos (of climbers in action), sketches, index. PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
