A perfectly serviceable reference copy of a then beloved crime fiction author's best work; set creepily in a London nightclub, a dead body there leads Inspector Charles and Sir Frank Tarleton to chase gooses wildly before getting their man. Nothing fancy, but complete and sturdy, bound in orange cloth over boards, black lettering and design to front cover. Bumping to spine head and foot, a bit of creasing to spine cloth. Previous owner's inscription, neatly rendered. 311 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
