London and New York: Macmillan and Co., 1893 A good to very good copy in the original green decorative cloth binding with numerous black and white illustrations by Hugh Thomson and Herbert Railton. A fascinating picture of life before cars, when horses provided most of the transport. The binding is very clean with bright gilt to the front board and spine. There is a little scuffing near the top edge of the front board and slight wear to the top corner. The spine has light pulling. Light scuffing to back board and very slight bumping to both corners. All page edges gilt. The original green endpapers are present. Lacks the half title page. Contents in very clean condition. Sporadic light foxing - where present, normally top margin and gutter and side page edge.
