David McDonald.This is the story of the United Mine Workers Union which began in 1890 through the gold anniversary in 1940. It gives the highlights of this period, and of the major milestones which dot the path of this union through a half-century of vigorous American history. Bound in blue cloth lettered in gilt, spine lettering gilt. A very good copy in pictorial dust jacket which lacks its front flap, chipping and creasing to front and rear panels.
