The Coconut Palm A Monograph

by MENON, K. P. V. and K. M. Pandalai

Condition: Fine/fine

4to. Pp. xvi; 384. Preface, introduction. Extensive bibliographies follow each chapter. Index. Profusely illustrated with line drawings, maps, b&w and color photographs. Taupe colored textured boards with stamped lettering. Some slight age-toning to extremities, else an exemplary copy in the uncommon dust jacket. A masterful study that considers all aspects fo the majestic palm -- hailed by the authors as worthy of the "eulogistic epithets" by which it is known: Tree of Heaven, the Consuls of the East, Tree of Life, Tree of Abundance, Tree of Plenty, etc. Why? Because "each and every part of the coconut palm is useful to man in one way or another.
