Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some light marking and sunning. Clipped jacket. Panels have moderate edge wear with chips, tears and creasing. Visible tanning to spine. Large area of loss to rear panel.

Light bumping to corners and crushing to spine ends. Binding remains firm with sunning to spine. Unclipped jacket has light edge-wear with minor tears and chipping. Moderate tanning and creasing, with rubbing and marking.

In very good russet coloured cloth boards, gilt decoration and titles to front and spine. The front board is a little loose from slight crack to joint; otherwise boards are flat and quite clean; spine ends slightly bumped. Unmarked white end papers; tiny white sticker from George's, Bristol on front paste down. Lightly marked cut edges. The text block is very tight, straight and clean and illustrated with bright b/w and colour photos. Near fine condition. Overall condition is very good plus. In very good dark red bordered dust jacket with colour photo of jugs to front and white titles. The jacket is unmarked; top edge worn with very small nicks and a few open and closed tears.
