Full Calf, Black Morocco Spine Label. Probably The First Stereotype Collins Printing, Title Pages Dated 1816 (Except For The 1815 Concordance], Publisher Named As "Collins & Co." Although Some Other Copies Show E & J Colllins. This Is The Deluxe Edition With Illustrations And Maps [Which According To The 1816 "Advertisement To The Stereotype Edition" Were Provided Only Upon Request]; Also With Brown's Concordance At End (Title Page Dated 1815]. Well Used, Front Endpaper Lacking, Frontispiece Torn In Two And Frayed, Either The Apocrypha Title And Introductory Pages Have Been Excised Or The Two Leaves Of Family Record Have Been Excised Before The Apocrypha Pages, Lacking Rear Endpaper And The Last Four Pages Of Brown's Concordance Of Which Pp 51-2 Are Detached With Wear And Creases And Small Losses. This First Complete Steretyping Of The Bible In The United States Is Quite Scarce.
