The boards show the deluxe leather version of the book, and affixed to the endpapers are examples of the leather spine, as well as the blue cloth binding. Includes 7 color plates and large fold-out panorama of the world's fair. Other textual and b&w illustrated selections too. Salesman's log notes a few sales of the cloth version. This copy in Fair condition with heavy wear and loss to the spine leather; corners bumped and worn. Contents lightly foxed, some tearing. A nice relic of 19th-century door-to-door book selling.
