About This Item

London: Bardbury and Evans, Bouverie Street, 1865. Hardcover. Very Good. 5 x 8 1/2 in. xviii, 320 pp, 304 pp. Half green crushed morocco with green cloth, gilt rules, raised spine bands, gily edges. Hand-colored plates. All 20 plates present. Condition is VERY GOOD ; mild edge wear, clean, spine leather is sunned to brown and there is a small split along the front joint but the binding is quite solid. Most likely a later 19th or early 20th c. rebinding, as the margins have been trimmed, with loss to some of the titles of the plates. Text is very clean and bright, and all the hand-colored plates are excellent. Hist. RGR.
