Cornelius Cornelii a Lapide was a 16th-century Flemish Jesuit theological writer known for his commentaries on books of Bible. He wrote allegorical and topographical sketches on both Old and New Testament books, commentaries that are highly valued amongst Jesuit circles. His commentaries have been heavily edited and revised throughout the centuries following his death.
This volume is a fine 1669 commentary on the Bible books of Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther as well as Apocryphal books of Tobit and Maccabees.
