Clinton: Amwell Press, 1983. Special Limited edition. Hardcover in slipcase. Very good +. Small quarto (7" x 10"), faux leather, gilt, in tan slipcase. All edges gilt. Moire endpapers. 182 pp. with bibliography and index. Very good or better in a very good slipcase which is a little faded near the fore-edge on one side. Limited to 1000 copies, of which this is copy number 257. This Special Centennial Edition was done to commemorate the 100th anniversery of the introduction of the Brown Trout to America. The third title in the Angling Heritage Collection prepared for the National Sporting Fraternity Limited. Authorized and signed by the author and the president of the NSFL. Foreword by Ernest Schweibert. Illustrations by Wayne Trimm. This copy has a letter laid in from the recipient of the book from Ray Smith to whom the book was presented by Heacox. Smith has 5 page references in the index and the letter states his appreciation for the mentions. He may have written this copy for himself, or the book may have been Heacox's copy and he placed the letter from smith in it. Unknown.
