Edinburgh: John Grant, 1896., 1896. First Thus . Hardcover. Good. First printing of "new edition with plates coloured by Archibald Hodder". 732 pp., color frontis with tissue guard, color plates, index, 8vo, red cloth with gilt titles. Good tight, original, complete copy with strong hinges. Front and rear endpapers are a bit foxed but the text itself is very clean with almost no foxing. Cloth has some spotting, wear to extremities and some short pull-tears. A decent copy of this scarce classic with many excellent color plates.
