THIS RARE SET WAS CUSTOM BOUND by the prestigious 'Morell Bindery' in the 1800's, and is signed by them.

These bindings are of the highest quality full gilded calf leather.

This is the first appearance of Mary Shelley's valuable Notes to Shelley's Poems, written in lieu of a memoir in order to fulfill a promise to her late husband's father.
Despite her promise, the Notes cleverly combined exegesis with biography, helping to promote the cult of Shelley.
