Indices of authors and first lines at rear of volume. --- In Toledano spine 8 / rust cloth / gilt titling on black spine & cover blocks / black topstain / grey Kent endpapers / jacket style i / verso advertises 374 titles in ML catalog. Likely published c.1955 (though 1944 date appears in book). ML #101.3. --- An unmarked copy but with slightly loosened front cover and loss of gilding to cover and spine. Fair only price-clipped dust jacket with considerable chipping, tears, and with some yellowing; protected in removable mylar wrapper.; 12mo 7" - 7-1/2" tall; xxii, 490 pages .
