NY: Samuel Weiser Inc., 1970. VG+/GOOD reprint of 1912 1st Ed. A very nice copy of this scarce title in light brown cloth with gilt titles. Crisp, clean and bright interiors, two minor corner bumps only, no markings. Approx. 5.75" by 8.25, 249 pages, frontispiece, fold-out letter, many illustrations, appendices and bibliography. Unclipped DJ has edge wear, moderate chipping, short tears. This book is a collection of a series of articles about the Comte de St. Germain first printed in the Theosophical Review in 1887, and first printed in this form in 1912. Living in the 8th Century, the Comte de St. Germain was a great Initiate and Occultist, a Brother of the White Lodge, and a prophet. The Rosicrucians recogzied him as an unexcelled Alchemist. He frequently attended Secret Mystical Societies' Meetings and Freemasonry Assemblies. In this highly interesting narrative, the Comte de St. Germain's life and work is laid out lucidly and entertainingly. . Hard Cover.
