"A Coney Island of the Mind" is the signature magnum opus from a titan of American Letters and leader of the literary avant-garde, Lawrence Ferlinghetti. Softcover in sewn binding. An essential Ferlinghetti collectible. In good condition, with moderate rubbing and soiling to front, back covers and spine; horizontal creasing along length of front cover spine-edge; small bump and creasing at upper right corner of front cover; tiny bumps and wear at all other corners and edges; a few tiny spots and faint stains near upper and left edges of back cover. Interior fine except for browning esp. of edges of all page leaves; tiny bump-folds at about the first half of same.

A Coney Island of the Mind is a collection of poetry by Lawrence Ferlinghetti originally published in 1958. It contains some of Ferlinghetti's most famous poems, such as I am Waiting, and Junkman's Obbligato, which were created for jazz accompaniment. There are approximately a million copies in print of A Coney Island, and the book has been translated into over a dozen languages. It remains one of the best-selling and most popular books of poetry ever published.
